Food Assistance

St. Vincent de Paul Social Services of Bend provides food boxes with enough groceries to prepare meals for 5 days to eligible individuals and families.  Food boxes are available every 30 days.

If you need food, come in person to our office and fill out a form.

Eligibility

You must meet the 2013-2014 USDA – TEFAP Commodity Eligibility Guidelines to qualify for our program:

Limits and Conditions

You may receive one food box once every thirty days. Commodity foods are for home consumption only and may not be sold, traded, bartered, or exchanged for services. We may also give out sack lunches every 10 days or as the need suggests.

Our Impact

St. Vincent de Paul Social Services of Bend operates a 1,000-square foot, fully equipped food pantry. The food pantry provides more than 24,000 nutritious meals each month to over 600 Bend-area household. According to the Oregon Food Bank’s local representative NeighborImpact, we are the largest provider of emergency food boxes in Deschutes County.
